What are the minimal requirements for The Thaumaturge?:
Windows:
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (6 core with 3,5 Ghz) or Intel i5-10400F (6 core with 2,9 Ghz)
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: Radeon RX580 (8GB), Nvidia GTX 1070 (8GB) or Intel Arc A750 (8GB)
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 25 GB available space
- Additional Notes: SSD (Recommended), HDD (Supported). Framerate might drop in graphics-intensive scenes. Ultrawide screen supported.

Ultra Widescreen Support:
The Thaumaturge fully supports widescreen and ultra widescreen resolutions.

ERROR “DX12 IS NOT SUPPORTED ON YOUR SYSTEM. TRY RUNNING WITHOUT THE -DX12 OR -D3D12 COMMAND LINE ARGUMENT.”:
This error pops up either when your Windows is not up to date, your GPU is below the minimal requirements to run the Thaumaturge, or when your PC is trying to run the game using your integrated graphics.
- Please make sure your Windows is updated
- Make sure the right GPU is set
How to manually set the preferred GPU on The Thaumaturge:
- Select the Start button, then select Settings
- In Settings, select System > Display > Graphics
- Under Custom Options for apps, select Add App → Classic App → Browse
- Locate Thaumaturge.exe in Steam folder and press Add
- Click on The Thaumaturge App → Options → Graphics preference → High performance → Save
- Restart the game
- If the exe is on another drive, replace C: with that drive letter
If using Nvidia GPU, set manually in Nvidia Control Panel:
- Open Nvidia Control Panel → Manage 3D settings → Program Settings
- Add The Thaumaturge → OpenGL Rendering GPU → choose dedicated Nvidia GPU → Apply

TROUBLESHOOTING FOR CRASHES:
Change in-game settings:
- Limit FPS to 75 or 60
- Ensure the correct GPU is set
- Change Resolution scaling to fit your GPU
- Disable Frame Generation
- Turn off Nvidia Reflex
- Enable V-Sync
- Change Screen Mode to Windowed
Turn off overclocking software:
- Disable MSI Afterburner, Gigabyte Control Center, or similar apps
Install latest Codec Pack:
Repair Visual C++ Redistributables:
- Go to Apps & features → find Microsoft C++ Redistributable → Modify → Repair
- Repeat for each version back to 2012
Disable game optimization:
- GeForce Experience → Gear icon → Games → uncheck “Automatically optimize newly added games”
Modify Launch Options:
- Steam Library → Right-click game → Properties → Set Launch options → type “-dx12” or “d3d12” → OK → Close

How do I generate the DxDiag file?:
- Click on Start
- Type “DxDiag” and launch DxDiag
- Click on “Save all information”
- Save “Dxdiag.txt” file
